“The term curriculum refers to the lessons and academic content taught in a school or in a specific course or program. In dictionaries, curriculum is often defined as the courses offered by a school, but it is rarely used in such a general sense in schools. Depending on how broadly educators define or employ the term, curriculum typically refers to the knowledge and skills students are expected to learn, which includes the learning standards or learning objectives they are expected to meet; the units and lessons that teachers teach; the assignments and projects given to students; the books, materials, videos, presentations, and readings used in a course; and the tests, assessments, and other methods used to evaluate student learning.”

Curriculum Makers creates and manages online communication and learning opportunities based on our Content+Conversation model curated within your curriculum framework and tailored to your school or school systems.
Curriculum Makers builds core content for a world-wide audience and publishes helpful material for educators that we sell directly. Our customers include individual schools and school systems, incursion providers, school holiday programs, after school and before school events all over the world. We work with partner firms to continually improve the ability of our curricula to improve learning outcomes.
We are an online business and market our products from our website ‘Curriculum Makers.com’. On this site our customers can buy and immediately receive most of our product range – with the exception of physical collateral which is shipped separately.
We are engaged in building and launching two key projects. The first is our Curriculum Makers Journal – this is a professional journal, published quarterly, which helps school leaders and teachers find the latest and the best in thinking about curriculum in one place.
Our impressive network of contributors are teachers dealing with the day to day demands of the classroom, school leaders grappling with limited resources to achieve ever-rising expectations, academics who try to make sense of it all together with publishers, content writers and businesses who aim to help. In fact ‘journal’ understates the power of this multi-modal tool. Perhaps better named as Curriculum Makers Experience it is an incredibly useful tool that our subscribers use every day to keep up to date professionally and interact with their own learning community.
Our second project is establishing the premiere series of our Biscuit Factory Arts Centre curriculum projects. BFAC projects can be customised for developmental levels in primary or junior secondary school and are available for sale to schools on our website and includes the following features:
- Teacher Guide
- Student Guide
- Box Contents
